Bitcoin is the first globally decentralised money with permissionless access; it’s carried worldwide via the internet and reaches people from all walks of life. I am always fascinated to see how this grassroots movement expands across the globe as bitcoiners begin to merge their love for bitcoin with their talent, skill, and business acumen.
Sure, a lot of the media coverage around bitcoin is either about the price or startups trying to scale bitcoin in some way, shape, or form, but there are so many other stories of hard-working bitcoiners just hashing away.
We’ve seen many accounts of home miners using their bitcoin miners to heat their homes, keep their hot tub toasty, and now bitcoin horticulture is starting to gain traction.
Bitcoin getting green thumbs
Le Caveau à Légumes is a Canadian strawberry farm in Neuville, Quebec. The farm has been using the excess heat produced by bitcoin miners to fight off frost and protect their strawberries from dying since 2018. At the same time, Sweden-based large-scale mining company Genesis Mining began a project to recycle the heat into greenhouses for growing veggies.
Now dutch florist Bitcoin Bloem is using excess heat from their bitcoin miner to maintain their flowers.

You can complete your purchase using the bitcoin base chain transaction and wait for your six confirmations or use the Lightning Network instead.
