Shitcoin
Home » Bitcoin Culture » BTC Glossary » Shitcoin
A shitcoin is a coin that provides absolutely no value whatsoever. Value is of course subjective but you can often tell that a coin has just been made for the sake of making a coin.
Usually these are coins that have been set up without any real thought as to how demand will be created for the coin or what problems it’s solving. Some are intentionally designed as jokes, others make the most of “rug-pull” technology, luring unsuspecting noobs that will end up getting rekt.
Of course, if you’re a Bitcoiner then every other coin that isn’t Bitcoin is a shitcoin so it makes things a lot easier to understand!
