Bitcoin Meetups
Home » Bitcoin Culture » Bitcoin Meetups
Bitcoin is a grassroots movement, and meetups are informal gatherings of people who are interested in Bitcoin. They are a great way to learn about Bitcoin, meet other Bitcoin enthusiasts, and discuss the latest news and developments in the Bitcoin space. Meetups are typically held at a coffee shop, bar, or other public place. They are usually free to attend and open to everyone, regardless of their level of Bitcoin knowledge. Bitcoin meetups typically cover a variety of topics, such as:
- What is Bitcoin, and how does it work?
- How to buy and sell Bitcoin
- How to store Bitcoin securely
- How to use Bitcoin to make payments
- The latest news and developments in the Bitcoin space
Bitcoin meetups can be a great way to learn more about Bitcoin and to meet other people who are interested in this new and exciting technology.

What usually happens at Bitcoin Meetups?
Bitcoin meetups usually begin as informal get-togethers of a few enthusiasts and early adopters willing to promote Bitcoin and find like-minded individuals in their area, but as Bitcoin attracts more people, these meetups can scale into larger events.
What may start out as a dinner or grabbing a drink with a few new friendly faces can turn into mini-conferences, musical events and more. Every Bitcoin meetup is different and usually has its own take on things or what it aims to achieve with Bitcoin
However, most Bitcoin meetups centre around the following:
- Learn more about Bitcoin from experts and enthusiasts.
- Ask questions and get help with Bitcoin-related problems.
- Meet other people who are interested in Bitcoin and network with them.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest news and developments in the Bitcoin space.
- Buy non-KYC Bitcoin
- Network with other Bitcoiners
- Conduct P2P traders with other Bitcoiners for goods and services
- Building circular economies in your local market
