LARP is an acronym that stands for “Live Action Role Play”. The main concept of real-life LARP is that you wear a costume and create a character in a fantasy world where other players have agreed on pre-determined rules for this world.
In the Bitcoin world, LARPers are people who create a fake persona with a social media account that is usually anonymous. In other words, pretending to be someone they are not.
For example, some one who owns a lot of shitcoins can pretend to be a Bitcoiner or a nocoiner or something else because they feel like it.
This can be for protection purposes so that their own real-life identity isn’t jeopardised but be careful of following LARPers as they are often not what they seem…
