The term normie refers to one whose tastes, lifestyle, habits, attitude and information they source come from the mainstream narrative and far from the cutting edge or original. A normie gravitates to the perceived safety to social standards, accepted practices, and fads of their own time & geographic grouping without broader cultural perspectives from which they draw.
Normies possess a lack of interest in ideas not easily accessible or being outside of their/society’s current range of acceptance. A straight. A follower. Normies typically have a sense of cultural superiority over the disagreeable Bitcoin counter-culture movement. They will often try to discredit Bitcoiners or any Bitcoin narratives choices, as they still fall outside of their majority think and claim Bitcoiners are out of touch with reality.
Most normies adopt a “popularity is the only measure of good or bad” mindset at an early age and can easily be moulded to suit virtually any desired value system. Normies tend to be fiat maxi’s who parrot off mainstream fud arguments as a reason to dismiss Bitcoin and do not bother to learn about it.
